We just made some significant changes:
1. Mitchell's Cajun Aces is having a free raffle donating a three hour performance at a location of your choice in the coming year. More info below.
2. Deferring to the interesting weather here in the northeast USA and not wanting to risk the odds after five or six rain free years, the wooden dance floor will be covered with a 30x60 tent. We will have fans and night lighting.
3. The Elks are allowing us to park a few RVs on their property. We expect to accommodate about six in with electric, six without. No constant water hookups or dumping available. PortaPotties and sink available. There is a single water connection that may be shared during non Danceathon hours. The RV parking spots are available for purchase on the website shopping cart. The price per night is $20 no electric, $25 with electric, both require the purchase of a weekend ticket. Parking starts 10Am Saturday, ends Monday by noon. Tent sites are not available in the area.
4. The Marriott hotel pool will remain open until midnight on Saturday.
5. The potluck and breakfast move into the pavilion and hall.
6. Although the Elks are still constructing the bathrooms in the hall, we have secured use of their indoor bathrooms in their lodge supplementing the PortaPotties and sink out front.
7. You may purchase beverages of your choice from the Elks at their full service air conditioned bar in the lodge.
8. We are getting "greener" using bulk ice water dispensers instead of bottled water. Bring your favorite mug or cup. (The bands continue using bottled water. Gotta have it.)
9. We are working on accepting credit cards at the door. There are many ATMs in the immediate area.
10. We will have tank tops and t-shirts available for purchase at the gate.

Dear friends. To keep ticket prices down, we are asking for your donations and generosity. The 2007 event was only possible due to the generous contribution of over $9000 from our dance community not including money generated from ticket sales. Without your support ticket prices would have been about $40 more for the weekend or about $20 more per day, and we could not have brought in the great wood dance floor, or four bands. For 2008 we have nine bands, the wood floor, Saturday BBQ and potluck, Sunday breakfast and more!
****YOU CAN WIN MITCHELL'S CAJUN ACES!!! All guests arriving before 12:30PM on Saturday (paid in advance and at the door) will receive one raffle ticket along with their wristband. The winner will be selected at the end of MCA's performance. The prize is a 3-hour performance by Mitchell's Cajun Aces in the Delaware Valley and reasonable surrounding area. Venue: winner's choice - any place from the winner's private party to a major blow-out. Valid to July 12, 2009 and subject to MCA's availability
We need your donations! You may come a benefactor of this event, either openly or anonymously. You may donate with cash, sponsor the dance floor, or perhaps sponsor and pay for your favorite band. Donate to the DanceAThon.
