Welcome to Cajun Zydeco Festivals World Edition of Arnb.Org's Cajun Zydeco event schedule. We thank our community of bands, promoters and dedicated readers for entering many of the events displayed on this page. We also use an automated web robot that enters events directly from a band’s web site into our database.

Cajun Zydeco Festivals World Edition lists Cajun and Zydeco dance, music and cultural events for the world, however until additional reporters sign up for entry rights, coverage may be limited. Should you want to post events for a country, region, band, promoter or venue, sign up at www.arnb.org/Subscribe.php In exchange for your posting efforts, ARNB.ORG can generate a free, targeted event schedule on your website from the information you and the community stored in ARNB.ORG's database. We just made some significant changes:

1. Mitchell's Cajun Aces is having a free raffle donating a three hour performance at a location of your choice in the coming year. More info below.
2. Deferring to the interesting weather here in the northeast USA and not wanting to risk the odds after five or six rain free years, the wooden dance floor will be covered with a 30x60 tent. We will have fans and night lighting.
3. The Elks are allowing us to park a few RVs on their property. We expect to accommodate about six in with electric, six without. No constant water hookups or dumping available. PortaPotties and sink available. There is a single water connection that may be shared during non Danceathon hours. The RV parking spots are available for purchase on the website shopping cart. The price per night is $20 no electric, $25 with electric, both require the purchase of a weekend ticket. Parking starts 10Am Saturday, ends Monday by noon. Tent sites are not available in the area.
4. The Marriott hotel pool will remain open until midnight on Saturday.
5. The potluck and breakfast move into the pavilion and hall.
6. Although the Elks are still constructing the bathrooms in the hall, we have secured use of their indoor bathrooms in their lodge supplementing the PortaPotties and sink out front.
7. You may purchase beverages of your choice from the Elks at their full service air conditioned bar in the lodge.
8. We are getting "greener" using bulk ice water dispensers instead of bottled water. Bring your favorite mug or cup. (The bands continue using bottled water. Gotta have it.)
9. We are working on accepting credit cards at the door. There are many ATMs in the immediate area.
10. We will have tank tops and t-shirts available for purchase at the gate.

Help the Danceathon while reducing or eliminating your admission. Volunteers needed call How at (215) 780-1993.

Potluck dinner at 12:00PM bring food to share, ---

Dear friends. To keep ticket prices down, we are asking for your donations and generosity. The 2007 event was only possible due to the generous contribution of over $9000 from our dance community not including money generated from ticket sales. Without your support ticket prices would have been about $40 more for the weekend or about $20 more per day, and we could not have brought in the great wood dance floor, or four bands. For 2008 we have nine bands, the wood floor, Saturday BBQ and potluck, Sunday breakfast and more!

****YOU CAN WIN MITCHELL'S CAJUN ACES!!! All guests arriving before 12:30PM on Saturday (paid in advance and at the door) will receive one raffle ticket along with their wristband. The winner will be selected at the end of MCA's performance. The prize is a 3-hour performance by Mitchell's Cajun Aces in the Delaware Valley and reasonable surrounding area. Venue: winner's choice - any place from the winner's private party to a major blow-out. Valid to July 12, 2009 and subject to MCA's availability

We need your donations! You may come a benefactor of this event, either openly or anonymously. You may donate with cash, sponsor the dance floor, or perhaps sponsor and pay for your favorite band. Donate to the DanceAThon.

Saturday Noon to 10:15Pm, Gate opens at 11:30Am
Grill open to 2-8Pm, Potluck all day bring food to share, beverages all day, beer and wine till it's gone

Sunday 10Am to 7Pm, Gate opens at 9:45Am
10Am Breakfast is available (You must pay in advance for Sunday's event to get breakfast. We are unable to provide breakfast for anyone who pays at the gate) beverages all day, beer and wine till it's gone. We will also put out the leftovers from Saturday's Potluck.

The Danceathon is a not for profit and non-commercial party
run for the pleasure of Cajun and Zydeco dancers and people who enjoy the music. Your admission ticket donation for the bands includes: burgers (veggie available) and hot dogs (kosher available) from the grill, potluck meal, snacks, soft drinks and unlimited filtered water from the cooler. Beer and wine included until it's gone. You bring: Yourself, your monetary donation, some prepared food to feed about 5 to 6 people for the potluck meal (no watermelons please), a chair and or blanket, and you are welcome to bring a friend or two.

The Elks Picnic area has a stage for the band; a large outdoor tree shaded dance area, tree covered picnic area with lots of picnic tables, an indoor facility in case of rain, a pond to sit near and relax when you're not dancing or eating. You may smoke in the parking area.

The Basking Ridge Courtyard by Marriott is the host hotel
. Receive special Dance-A-Thon group rates: 1 King bed $84 (code: DAGDAGA), 2 Queen beds $94 (code: DAGDAGB) are available through Friday June 20th, 2008 by calling 1-800-321-2211 or online at www.marriott.com/sossm. Get additional hotel names by clicking on the DanceAThon flyer link at the start of this listing.

Camping: There are no facilities available in the local area. however the Elks are allowing us to park some RVs in their parking lot.

Pets: Must be tethered or on a leash, and are not permitted on or near the dance floor or food service area. Should your pet create a problem you will be asked to remove it from the facility.
